BARBIE or OPPENHEIMER. Two movies that are reaching for two different audiences. Question is: Which is the better “date movie”? I often go to movies along. I’m making an educated guess that you won’t find many guys going solo to see BARBIE. Can you picture that theater? A half dozen guys sitting ten seats and two rows apart, as if COVID was still with us. Then after the film ends, each of them putting on sunglasses and walking shyly toward the exit, hoping they don’t bump into anyone they know. But if they had a date or a gal pal with them, the reaction would be totally different. Whereas, OPPENHEIMER has something for both sexes. So I guess this weekend I will go to see a matinee screening of OPPENHEIMER, then grab my favorite gal pal and go see BARBIE. What’s your plan?

Ha-ha-ha! That’s a fantastic question! If you’re dating a scientist or a very technical person then Oppenheimer could be your best bet! But if both people are in love with movies then you’ll have to date nights in a row, Barbie night and Oppenheimer night. Konstantin and I, for example, will watch both of them.
